Ear, Nose and Throat

Ear, Nose and Throat, also known as otorhinolaryngology, is one of the oldest medical specialties in Bulgaria. It is commonly known in Bulgaria as Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT). It deals with the anatomy, physiology, and acute and chronic diseases of the ears, nose, throat, larynx, and salivary glands. It also includes diseases of the esophagus and bronchi and disorders of the voice and hearing. ENT physicians are trained in the medical and surgical skills needed to treat patients with diseases of the ears, nose, and throat and the related structures of the head and neck. Their specialist skills include diagnosing and correctly treating diseases of the sinuses, larynx, oral cavity, and pharynx, as well as the structures of the neck and face.
